The Story Behind the Music
I grew up surrounded by music—it was never optional for me. My Cuban roots run deep, and from a young age I was listening to legends like Gloria Estefan, Celia Cruz, Whitney Houston, and Selena. That mix of Latin soul and powerful vocals shaped how I feel music today.
I was also raised on Latin Jazz—influenced by none other than my uncle, Arturo Sandoval. That sound, that level of musicianship, that emotion—it pushed me to take music seriously.
And since I was little, I’ve been singing in a church choir. That’s where I really found my voice. It taught me discipline, feeling, and how to connect with people through music on a deeper level.
All of that is who I am today.
I carry my roots, my influences, my experiences—and I turn them into my own sound. Something real, something felt, something that represents where I come from and where I’m going.
